Event Registration, Cancellation & Refund Policy

MSATP is committed to providing valuable continuing education and professional development opportunities to our members. Please review these terms carefully before completing your registration.

Section 2

Live Webinars

2.1 Transfers

Attendees registered for a live webinar may request a transfer to an available on-demand version of the same course, subject to availability. Transfers must be requested prior to the live event start time.

  • If the same webinar is offered on another date, attendees may transfer their registration to that alternate date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
  • Transfer requests submitted after the event has begun will not be honored.
  • On-demand availability is not guaranteed and is determined on a course-by-course basis.
  • To request a transfer, contact MSATP staff at least one (1) business day before the event.

2.2 Cancellations & Refunds

Live webinar registrations are non-refundable. No exceptions will be made once registration is confirmed.

If you are unable to attend a live webinar and an on-demand version is not available, your registration fee will not be refunded. We encourage attendees to review their schedules carefully before registering.

Section 3

In-Person Events

3.1 Cancellations

All cancellations of in-person event registrations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee, regardless of when the cancellation request is submitted.

  • The $50.00 administrative fee will be deducted from any refund issued.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to MSATP staff via email.
  • Same-day cancellations may not be eligible for any refund at MSATP's discretion.

3.2 Transfers to Webinar Format

Registered in-person attendees may request a transfer to an equivalent webinar offering at no administrative fee, subject to the following conditions:

  • Transfer requested 14 or more days before the event: If the webinar fee is lower than the in-person fee already paid, the difference will be held as a credit on the attendee's account.
  • Account credits must be used by the end of the fiscal year in which the transfer occurred (June 30).
  • Transfer requested within 14 days of the event: No refund or account credit will be issued for the difference in price. The attendee will be enrolled in the webinar session with no money back.
  • Transfer availability is subject to webinar capacity and is not guaranteed.

The 14-day deadline is calculated from the event start date. For multi-day events, the deadline is based on the first day of the event.

Section 4

Upgrading from Webinar to In-Person

Attendees who have registered for a webinar and wish to transfer to an in-person event for the same program must pay the difference between the webinar registration fee and the in-person registration fee.

  • The upgrade request must be submitted in writing prior to the in-person event's 14-day deadline.
  • If the in-person event is sold out, the transfer cannot be accommodated.
  • No refund will be issued if the in-person fee is lower than the amount already paid.

Section 5

One-Day and Two-Day Webinars

Special cancellation terms apply to MSATP's multi-day webinar events (one-day or two-day formats).

5.1 Cancellations — 14 Days or More Before the Event

Cancellations received fourteen (14) or more calendar days before the webinar start date are eligible for a full refund or credit.

5.2 Cancellations — Within 14 Days of the Event

Cancellations submitted fewer than fourteen (14) calendar days before the webinar start date are subject to a $25.00 administrative fee.

  • The $25.00 fee will be deducted from any refund issued.
  • No refund will be issued if the cancellation is received on the day of the event.

5.3 Transfers

Registered attendees for one-day and two-day webinars may request a transfer to an on-demand version of the course if one is available. All other transfer terms follow the standard live webinar policy outlined in Section 2.

Section 6

Mini Events, Express Events & On-Demand Courses

The following event types are sold as final and are not eligible for refunds, transfers, or credits under any circumstances:

  • Mini Events
  • Express Events
  • On-Demand Courses

All registrations for Mini, Express, and On-Demand offerings are final at the time of purchase. MSATP does not offer exceptions to this policy for these event types, including in cases of technical difficulty, scheduling conflict, or personal emergency.

Before purchasing an on-demand course or registering for a mini or express event, please confirm that you have the required technology access and that the content meets your CPE/CE needs. Refunds will not be issued once the transaction is complete.

Section 7

General Provisions

7.1 How to Submit a Request

All cancellation and transfer requests must be submitted in writing to MSATP staff. Verbal requests will not be accepted. Email requests should be directed to the MSATP office and must include:

  • Full name and member ID (if applicable)
  • Event name and registration date
  • Nature of the request (cancellation, transfer, or upgrade)
  • Reason for the request (for transfers to on-demand)

7.2 Processing Timeframe

MSATP will process approved refund requests within seven (7) to ten (10) business days. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method.

7.3 Event Cancellations by MSATP

In the event that MSATP cancels a scheduled event, all registered attendees will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future offering. MSATP is not responsible for incidental expenses incurred by attendees (e.g., travel, lodging) in connection with a cancelled event.

7.4 Policy Updates

MSATP reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. The most current version will be posted on the MSATP website at msatp.org. Registrations completed after a policy update are subject to the updated terms.
